Principal responsibilities Envision, architect and determine data requirements of the Hang Seng Indexes’ data platform, including the development of data platform and oversight of the integration and staging of data Design and implement user applications and data marts to support various data needs of Hang Seng Indexes Liaise with external data suppliers on data sourcing & acquisition according to business needs and manage day-to-day functions to maintain data integrity Manage the performance and development of Data team to: Work with IT's Data functions to deliver a robust, stable, and accurate HSIL Data platform Set up and execute proper data management procedures and quality control metrics; perform the day-to-day functions to maintain the accuracy and integrity of HSIL’s data Act as a subject matter expert for HSIL’s data platform; initiate enhancements and support user acceptance test for data-related projects Requirements University degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 10 years of working experience, preferably with financial data management background Experience in managing data warehouse or relational databases and performing data modelling and data analysis Strong project management and business analysis experience with excellent problem solving and interpersonal skill Knowledge of Hong Kong and China equity market operations, including real-time price sourcing, corporate actions, as well as company financial reporting Knowledge of SQL, Python and programming language is essential Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills Proficiency in both English and Chinese
